Apron Feeders

There are very few manufactures that offer a thru heavy duty steel flight feeder.

Nortech builds what we believe to be the best on the market.

We start with a very stout I-beam construction.

On our smaller units (Up to 48”) we use Berco D-4 sealed and lubricated rails with bolt on sprockets.

All upper rollers are closely spaced double flanged Berco units.

On large units up to 70” we use Berco D-6 sealed and lubricated rails with bolt on sprockets. All upper rollers are closely spaced double flanged Berco units.

The steel flights consist of an AR 100 base plate capped with an AR 400 cover plate, which is bolted to the rails with Berco hardware.

Drives vary by Feeder size and expected TPH, but in all cases we use a four stage reduction right angle gear box with a C-face motor.

Some are single drive and the larger units use a twin drive.

We can offer the Feeder support structure as well as a hopper based on your needs. These assemblies are designed to ship in sections and simply bolt together in the field.

A very important feature in any hopper construction is the ability for making occasional adjustments to the steel skirting. Nortech has developed a very clean/easy design to do just that.
